• Help End Florida’s Adoption Ban!
  Family Equality Council has joined the American Civil Liberties Union of Florida and the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation to conduct trainings across Florida that will provide you with the basic skills to take a stand against Florida's adoption ban by changing the hearts and minds of your friends, neighbors, and communities. Join us for our next trainings in Fort Lauderdale and Naples!

  Adult Programming
  GLAAD will be providing training for adults ages 18 and up. Training participants will learn how to prepare and deliver short talks on adoption to local groups they are members of (PTA, etc.), have one-on-one conversations with non-LGBT people, conduct media interviews, and utilize other skills to educate the public and change people's hearts and minds on this critical issue.
  
  Tween/Teen & Children's Programming
  Family Equality Council will be providing age-appropriate educational programming for youth 3 to 13 that will run concurrently with the adult training.
  
  Children’s Programming for children aged 3-8 focuses on developing self-esteem and celebrating family diversity through arts & crafts, games, and activities.
  
  Tween/Teen Programming for youth aged 9-13 focuses on increasing self-esteem, building community, and developing leadership skills in the context of age-specific issues such as responding to bullying and engaging social media. In addition to providing a platform of support, this training is intended to prepare youth to tell their personal stories in support in efforts to repeal Florida’s adoption ban.
  
  Dial for Equality
  Join Family Equality Council in supporting Equality Florida’s “Dial for Equality” phone banking campaign to help end Florida’s adoption ban. Equality Florida supporters are making calls every Wednesday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm to educate Florida voters about the adoption ban. One-on-one conversations are the most effective way to change hearts, minds and votes and you can have them on the phone right from your home! Click here to sign up for a phone bank now.
